True, Tulip is not a rose,
But what one might well propose,
That their beauty is the same,
For purposes of love’s game.
A tulip befitting you,
Is simply long overdue.
And as you shuffle and smile,
I softly sigh of your style.
For Passion you’re a true treasure,
Of God’s wondrous pleasure.
To me your friendship’s a gift,
Setting heart & soul adrift.
While you’ve said you’re not perfect,
Heart and soul pause to reflect-
That your brilliant inner light,
Makes my heart’s Poetry ~ recite ~
