I’m falling through the air,
Simply downwards, I soar,
And when I try to cry out in alarm,
I realise, my voice is no more.
As the ground nears my head,
My body twists-under its own control,
And now I’m flying,
With the sky, I am whole.
Defying gravity,
Mocking the land down below,
It’s easy to do,
When I’m resting on a pillow.
On and on, through a never ending journey,
I am weightless-free,
The clouds pass, soon thinning out,
It seems the journey is ending for me.
My speed starts to slow,
My surroundings seem to bend,
Some people say the sky is limitless,
But now I know-it has an end.
I stare beyond,
Into a vast expanse of…nothing.
But I look again,
There has to be something.
I let my fingers brush against an invisible veil,
Let them sink into the Void beyond,
I can feel something-beckoning,
And I oblige.
This time I control my own body,
Letting it sink into somethingness,
And I pull my head through-opening my eyes to find…
My bedroom-gravity.

intense!
u perfectly descrided an out of body experience. I had 1 one time. Trippy! I love the last two lines... Sums it up and ties the piece together. Good job. Good luck.

Welcome to AllPoetry
The fifth stanza has to be my favourite
I adore how this is about a dream; it is serene, soft and flows nicely down the page, for a moment I thought the rhyming a little forced but as it continued I found it nicely done
I hope you enjoy AllPoetry and continue to share your words with us
