Heights

Softly we move under a moon of silk
embraced in the clouds so high,
we float in the seas of the loving winds
velvet caresses and sheen whispered sighs.

We waltz we move in gentle sway
in the breeze we are adrift,
melodies play in our souls such warmth
captivated thoughts now shift.

Like butterflies dancing over the meadows green
and a songbird that sings in the rain,
a tune so sweet tempting soft serenity
this chorus two lover's can only attain.

The forests of old whispers tell there tales
the lands from afar murmur of yore,
of old love reborn a new rekindled
spectrum's falling to once again soar.

Hand in hand we dance in the shimmering rain...

There you go here is another fine example of your poetic growth, quite the fun read as Amera said the quatrains are a delight.

Thanks for sharing Cuz, you always have a way with those words.
