So many lines have been written
and there are so many more to come
as the pen streaks across the page
and I’m writing another one
Every mood brought to words
with a little feel of life
sometimes it works out right
other times it’s well okay
Any prompt will do
if I’m in the right mood
I can write about anything
but that’s not always so
Sometimes the words flow too quickly
and it’s hard for me to keep up
the pen is like a race track
perhaps this time I shall win
I enjoy getting the feedback
it tells me I’m not insane
as teardrops spill upon endless pages
and some of it mixed with wine
I tell the whole truth
and nothing less or more
words captured in a moment
can stand the test of time
