Tale Of A Wishful Heart

If simply said, that just for now,
I'll bear my soul in part,
So should it be
The glimpse you see,
Reveals the truest heart

If not for this, than for the one
I must restrain the word
That yields what be,
To none, but he
Who cares my heart be heard

A treasure lost, 'neath deaf and dumb,
I'll treasure he alone;
He'll rest no more,
On ocean's floor,
This treasure's worth is known

Take care My Love, I'm bound to warn,
Alert my heart remains,
In falsehoods lie,
The Demons'cry,
To bind a heart in chains

No promise can I leave with thee,
No vict'ry guaranteed;
For all your might,
Must bid goodnight,
Should The Lion intercede

So carry on, and softly trod
This rich and broken earth,
A battle ground,
Where now is found,
Such evident rebirth

And so, permit me still, perhaps
To speak one final piece:
Should come the day,
I bid you stay,
To you, my heart's releas'd

For in this hour of wishful hope
My heart, it softly sings,
Of such a day,
I'll whisper "stay",
And spread these broken wings~

This was a great poem, even though I read them more of a lyrical piece. It had a great beat to it. I like this.

    This was my favorite stanza:
If simply said, that just for now,
I'll bear my soul in part,
    So should it be
    The glimpse you see,
    Reveals the truest heart

    Rich and beautiful!

Each line flows to the next one. I enjoyed reading the poem, line by line.
