See Me Feel Me
Touch Me Heal Me
See Me Feel Me
Touch Me Heal Me
I hear the screaming, I see the violence
I seen the fighting, seen tempers flair
I hear the preaching, I heard the swearing
hope I’m only dreaming, of this nightmare.
Confined within borders, no moving forward
under strict orders, no falling back
under no guidance, with no assistance
out of the blue, and into the black.
I cry out loud, into the darkness
I cry out loud, into the night
from you---I get no responses
afraid of the darkness, alone in the light.
I’ve been abandoned, I’ve been forgotten
I’ve been neglected, I’ve been forsaken
my heart’s been broken, silent words were spoken
my body’s been shaken, abuse partaken.
From you---I see the anger
I see the sadness, from you
from you, I seek your comfort
I need someone to help me through.
I fear change, but forever changing
a new destination, all around me
a different location, strange places
strange faces, is all I see.
Front of the class, I see the millions
staring at me, feel rapid heart beat
laughter at me, where is the glory
from over-excitement, I can’t speak.
All around me, I feel the hatred
following me, I feel the rain
crying in silence, crying out loud
cries inside me, crying in vain.
Right behind me, I see the millions
I feel their anger, I feel their heat
towards me---I feel persecution
I lay beaten at their feet.
Listening to my cries, no one can hear me
my soul slowly dies, from brutal afflictions
to the living, I am invisible
I get no healing, from my inflictions.
I lost my courage, I lost the glory
I lost my hope, I lost my will
this is my burden, this is my story
from living---I lost the thrill.
What’s you’re name, mine is Nobody
nobody is me, just somebody’s pawn
the time you get to know me
really know me, I’ll be gone.
Left on my own, with no defenses
out in the open, trapped inside hell
all around me, I build fences
nowhere to run, I crawl into a shell.
All of my life, I have been searching,
from you, I need a clue
inside of the maze, lost in confusion
I need an answer, from you.
Please don’t ignore me, somebody love me
somebody adore me, somebody crave me
is anybody out there, anyone at all
somebody rescue me, somebody save me.
See Me Feel Me
Touch Me Heal me.
See Me Crave Me
Touch Me Save Me.
Author notes
There was a song Pat Benatar put out in the 80's called, "Hell Is For Children" which came under furious scrutiny because it was sadly misinterperted. You may reconize the tune on this one. It's from the movie, "Tommy" by The Who, although the words have been changed to protect the innocent--me!
This is dedicated to all of you out there who has suffered from neglect, abuse, physically, sexually, or emotionally, from school bullies, co-workers, or at home from family members, or latter day spousal abuse.
Most of us have been there at one point in our lives, but you can't let the past consume your soul.
There comes a time for healing, to move on and stop hiding in the darkness. To forgive those who caused you much pain and suffering, letting go of the past and move out of the shadows of despair and into the light of happiness.

sadly there is pain in the world
everyday hearts are broken
I wonder if we really realize the impact we have on each other
so busy with ourselves we pass by so many
we all experience some pain some more then others
the bottom lines is no one ever needs to
there is no doubt abuse is alive and well in the world
at so many levels
we can not stop it but we could lift each other,
we could remember the pain we experience throughout our lives and remember that feeling, so that we do not cause pain to others, that we may relate and have compassion.
we tend to hurt others not to hurt them but strangely to lift ourselves up, it as if we feed on them, as if we make them less it makes us more, it is truly the only reason.
we are all so insecure, we absolutely do not know what we create
Father they know not what they do
outstanding write
hopefully will stir up compassion
Love your an as well
God bless you my friend...

This is a very powerful poem which both brought back some memories for me but also helped me see just how much has changed and how it's not always too late to save those who suffer. Thank you for posting. Take care.
