Patriots Muster!

Missing image
When leaders pander with a lie,
freedom is shuttered left to die.
Should governments rule with lies,
tyranny becomes the prize.

Societies removed from God
foster realms behind facade.
Should heart, beliefs, and values reign,
freedom’s sword shall sustain.

Seldom seen seldom heard
selfless hearts are often stirred
to sacrifice to risk it all
to answer aye at reveille’s call.

With no rank and only mission
no retreat just attrition,
without a fee or payment due
freedom’s cost is borne by you!

    You have obviously put a lot of thought into this write.
    It seems it could be interpreted a couple of ways...depending on the individuals perception.
    However the way I see it is..."should heart, beliefs and values reign, freedoms sword shall sustain",.... I take that as the Christian principles on which the country is based, if these reign in the people's hearts then "freedom's sword" ...the spiritual sword,( power of God) will sustain....
    "Seldom seen seldom heard..." etc, at the call... when the need arises.. there will be those willing to sacrifice everything for freedom.
    "....freedom's cost is borne by you" , we as individuals are responsible for our freedom...our country's freedom, it starts within each of us, not expecting "someone" to do it for us.

    Feel free to let me know if I have misinterpreted what you are saying, and to inform me of how you intended to be understood.
