I reach out for you
Arms spread wide
Open your rusted heart
And let my love inside

Listen to your heartbeat
So broken and empty
From pain the world can't see
You try to hide, but you can't fool me

I knock softly on the door
Of your bitter solitude
You ignore my solace
Eluding my soft embrace

Tears escape you
Fleeing from swollen eyes
Slowly trickling free
Forsaking your identity

How I long to comfort you
To embrace you, holding tight
But you've shut me out so long
I'm forgetting how to fight
