I had a Turkey his name was Theo
we got him from the neighbors farm
he was my best friend and my mom
said he was not going to be dinner
and that made me glad he use
to go on walks with me
and follow me into the house
and sit with me on the floor and watch television
every time I put it on cooking channel he would
gobble gobble at me my mommy thought it was funny
and laughed because Theo probably thought
we were looking for ways to cook him my Theo
was the best Theo ever and he used to love to eat my carrots
on Thanksgiving he watched the
Macy's Parade and he loved to eat candy corn.

Oh I am so sorry he died Genna

This is so sweetly and wonderfully written, with such grace and beauty! -
Very good Genna. I'm sorry your turkey died but still this is a fine poem
in his memory. Thanks for sharing. -
Hey, you had a birthday at the end of October, so now you are ten?

OH MY GOODNESS, did you have a turkey? I am sad for you that he died. Maybe you could get a duck. No, a duck would want a pond. Well, I like your really fine poem and wish you lots of luck for having a happy Thanksgiving.
