you have not come to us

oh such sweet sadness lies within this poem. still it's a beautiful piece! I love the fact that you are an understanding mother and not being angry and spiteful of your child not yet being conceived. you are hurt and the pain is very evident. but you still love the unborn child no matter what. by telling the unborn child that you know that the world is full of pain and that you would protect, love, and nuture the child through it all demonstrates the unconditional love that a mother has for her child even though he/she has not yet entered the world (let alone the fact that the child has not yet even been created). a lovely poem of parental love to an unborn, not even created yet, child. surely lots of couples who try to get pregnant, who go to doctors and specialists, go through a lot of what is within this poem. you did a great job of giving those families/couples a voice to be heard. good luck to those families/couples and may their dreams and wishes come true.
