Faithful

He came to me one night
I was crying
He asked what was wrong
I told him I keep trying

God took my hand and lifted me off the ground
He told me I should'nt cry
I am loved and I should know it
He said my heart is truly lit

"I can see you all the time so just leave your mistakes behind"
He told me I was faithful
Always a believer not a deciever

He sets himself and I on the soft ground of His kingdom
Telling me that I am free
He turns his head and motions for an angel
Whom glided gracefully next to him
He turns to me and says "This will be your guardian until the very end"

The angel took my hand and led me to an open door
She summons me to look down
All I seen was a clear sky
She told me its not my time to die

She hugs me with great security in which I'll never lose
She told me with certainty that I have the right to choose
She slowly turns away from me and clasps her hands in prayer
She whispers away from me that she'll always be there

The angel finished her praise and took my hand
She says "You are troubled and I understand"
I felt the tears well up in my eyes
Thinking I wont need to take anymore merciless lies

We walked onto the platform that read "Life or Death"
She took one last look at me and said "Take one more breath"
I listened to my Gaurdian angel and did what she told
I suddenly felt off angle and I lost her loving hold

The next thing I knew I was in my bed awake
What I just went through was for life's sake
I still feel her grace and God's loving words
I will now replace my distress with faith that was meant to be there
Because I know that now I am in Their care
