I have my eyes
anxiously running its sense of sight
to a flawless horizon
of reawakening
I spitted out
the last pungent taste
of regret from my mouth
and
I am peeling off the skin
that bears the agonizing dryness
of yesterday
At times
I feel weightless enough
to reach up
and warm the unconscious
stars in my palms
But
I cannot look down
and see you on the other side
struggling to resent
the jaws of gravity
so I keep my restless feet
grounded on the thick surface
of your defeat

Weightless
yet grounded--
you run the gamut of emotions--
almost ferociously not able to
"brush if off."
Strong. strong emotions here!

This is wonderful!!
I especially loved the 5th stanza, and the idea of gravity having "jaws"... that's sort of scary
Great write!
