Why do you deny what you want?
The very thing you look for I offer.
You seem so lost and confused
You say that you want your freedom
But you just won’t let go.
You say you want love
But when I open my arms you run away.
You want someone to dry your tears
But then again you can do it yourself.
You want a friend to be there
But you always push me away.
You tell me what you want from me
And when I do it, I am wrong.
I don’t know what else to do
But simply stand here and wait.
I know you feel like the odds are against you
I know that you think no one understands
I know you feel like you are at the end of your rope
I know you don’t think you have a choice
But do you know no matter if you win or lose,
It really doesn’t matter to me.
I may not always agree
But I’ll try to look at it from your view.
And if you can’t hold on anymore
I’ll be there to catch you when you fall.
And a choice there will always be,
But know that no matter what…
I’ll always love you unconditionally!
