It has alwasy been the end of time...

If by chance this world of ours
simply came to be
crashed inside the universe
has no prophecy

Good and evil can't exist
all was just a lie
Man conjoined with Lucifer
and we all must die

Pride and jealousy now reign
pitched in outer dark
But if we pursue the Light
release one small spark

Let the glow of Heaven's will
join up with the Lord
Then the stalk of Satan's way
we would not afford

From perfection we debase
won't answer the call
Then, we grab rope with both hands
that will hang us all

Righteousness is not a task
It should roll on down
We choose vices not of Him
lose out on our crown

World without any restraint
chaos is the note
Running wildly to and fro
Devil tends to gloat

Chose the side you will be on
when the world is through
Make ready now, be prepared
End time is not new

Author notes

Isaiah 14: 12 & 13

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Be blunt! Be honest! I'm a big girl, I can take it. THANKS!

    Does this have music

Does this have music to go with it and if not it should. I can hear it even now being sung with such glory and "Righteousness is not a task can't be said enough. Wonderful words could only come from the heart.

In wisdom you have poignantly told us to open our eyes to the scenario that every day is playing before us...On whose side are we..to be fooled..Awareness of the true enemy of our souls....Presented powerfully in rhyme and words! Bravo!

Even Lucifer must serve some purpose of God's . . . as do we all, the righteous and wicked alike. Each has a part in this pageant and one day it will all come together and make sense and each of us will be saying "Oh, now I understand." God alone can measure the breadth and depth of His forgiveness . . . we see too small a portion of the whole to be good judges of the workings of the universe. We must always rely on our own acts of faith and look beyond our own horizons.

Perhaps the angels envy us, for though they have never known suffering, neither have they known sacrifice . . . desperation often brings out the best in us and we of all the peoples of the universe know how to hang our hopes on a long-shot. If nothing else, we play for keeps; we make life and death choices . . . something the angels can never do.

In spite of all our failings . . . I like to think we are still God's favorites. That we are still here and haven't destroyed ourselves is proof of that.

This is excellent. You have given us all a great deal to ponder.

    Garrison

I think this is most excellent, Renee!
Your words just shout out the plain truth for all to see; now if only each would grasp onto it!
Wishing you much light and love,
    Sandy
