You Are Poison

You held me in your arms,
told me I was yours,
that you loved me true
but then you poisoned me.

Time has taken me to the brink
of the hell in which I know live
you are the poison that took me
to the place that I now live.

Come back to the place where we met
see me in the crumpled mess I am
razors littered on the ground
blood pooled around me.

How I wish things had been different
then I would still be here
you poison spread and caused me to die
don't forget me, please don't cry.

You are my poison,
you are my drug,
you are the one that I use to hug,
now is the distance in which I live.

Heavens gracious light is here to give
the peace in which I crave
your poison can't touch me here
I no longer can cave.

Author notes

NEVER NEVER think it is ok for you to die over someone. NO ONE is worth this. A life is to precious to waste. If you have thoughts of suicide or are severely depressed go find a professional a good one that is to help you.

  • Second stanza, second line; Now? Sorry, gramatics are key to me, but I can ignore them. Heh.

You are right, no one is worth this at all. A very nice, very deep dark poem!

"Come back to the place where we met
see me in the crumpled mess I am
    razors littered on the ground
    blood pooled around me."

Tis my favorite stanza. Thank you for entering and the BEST of luck to you!!
