I sealed my Locke and gave the key to Hobbes
For knowing deep into your eyes I see
That freedom, choice, has wrenched your heart to sobs
So fear has lived where your old trust should be
A monster! A Leviathan has been
Within your wretched, teary-colored cheeks
As I have watched and seen and learned how then
Your softened hands spread tar whence sadness leaks
But still you stand and fight to save your soul
And I, amazed, nearly fight to stand
So on the both of us pain takes its toll
But if it comforts, I should take your hand
So though this Hobbes has taken now by key
I see your strength, my Locke has freed for thee
Author notes
There's supposed to be an accent over the second A in amazed, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. (This was written on the 6th.)
