If You See Dawn

If you see Dawn while walking in the city,
On a day of rainy memories blowing gray,
If you see Dawn, while stopping for your coffee,
Would you say Hi from me that fateful day?
Would you tell me later if she smiled,
If she wore a purple scarf that touched the ground.
Would you say her eyes were sad ,
Or filled with memories,
Did she gaze upward at the sky,
Or just look down?
If you see Dawn, one evening in the city,
As you buy your paper and go on your way,
Could you try to tell her that I will always need her ,
Then please tell me just what she had to say.
I will wait back here where once she sat beside me,
I will wait and wait and hope to hear from you.
You never know, some midnight you may spot her,
I only want to ask her...
Hey, what's new?
