I need inspiration! Come on muse!
Have you left me?
Alone and confused.
Numb to the beauty of the written word!
Maybe I should just write..
Just anything that pops into my scattered thoughts,
and weave it with skilled hands,
and flowing ink.
Hopefully leaving a rich poetic aftertaste.
Hmm maybe my muse has not fled.
Maybe she has returned,
from distant inspiring lands.
Brought me back a white feather quill,
and a lecture on belief!
Perhaps she needs a Gothic makeover.
A darkened perspective,
to find me the darkest of verbs to craft.
Or what about a buff and polish.
Add a little glitter and inspire a love poem.
Whatever the outcome, written in script
I am relived that she has stopped her wandering.
Author notes
Ok, I was trying to get myself into the flow of writing. Trying to think of something to write for a contest and coming up with nothing. So I just started scribbling down what I was thinking and this came out! I thought it sounded good so here it is! lol Enjoy

i like this poem alot. I have been found to be in this situation before. I really love the way it shows the creative process and the sbililty to dive deep into the soul and express what others can not. Thanks! Amazing job! =)

TK, I like this alot, reminds me of my writing something along the same lines for a contest. Sometimes the wanderlust proves fruitful when she has finally given in to the meandering and comes home to roost. The pic is spot on and gives me pause to view some works by Salvador Dali, the brain giving birth and the all seing eye watching the pen give forth the effort or our thought processes.
