I'm not big on love poems, never have been
Must send, a mental recall to re-haul the word
From the back of my brain, to even consider
That this is what that is.
Does love have boundaries? Are there requirements.. extensions,
More smiles, less awkward tension, A formula of sorts?
To Conform or to abort that tacky feeling in your stomach.
Butterflies boiling now, yet
They're not dying, continue flying towards your throat.
Making it even more obvious
There's been an emotional shift.
Drifting towards escape, throwing out feelings, memories
Leaving your heart agape.
Draping your eyes, the windows to your mind.
Finding ways to hide that flame inside your soul
Ignited by another that you didn't even have to touch...
Such broad outlines this "love" holds.
Bold but blubbering, Sold for subtlety
Behold the uncontrolled strength of an emotion born with time.
No rhythm no rhyme can capture it's power
So potent, so benign, could easily make kings cower.
Changing lives and taking names, what will it take
To end this game, diminish this flame, fight this feat.
Is it possible? Is there a remedy?
If there is...
Destroy it.
Love is all that keeps this world afloat.
It took me until now to see that.
