Verdant abundance paints an oasis
a confluence of wealth and nature tamed.
Perfection’s surface breathes tranquility.
Idyllic escape promises peace of mind.
Landscape entrances with echoes from past
childhood yearnings for ease, care, protection.
Stability’s attention neatly framed
as if assuring serenity’s flow.
But in the background a question awaits.
At what cost has this island been realized?
Though all would wish for just such a kingdom;
fruition is bound by privilege’s rope.

I see you've made quite good use of the word "confluence" again, my Friend. ;
I'm happy to have given its gift to you so that you've won the gold in the contest with this intelligent, fine piece. You've described this picture of serenity quite well. I also like the use of the word "verdant". It's so much more elegant than merely calling something "green", is it not? Good luck in the contest, Sweetie.
