The Transition

I chucked the old manual typewriter
in the middle of a field of golden wheat.
because the 'L' had ceased to work,
and my words were incomp*ete.

I needed to say, "I  *ove  you so."
You are my sou* mate, you know!
With grand vocabulary I penned,
but needed an 'L', for my words to wend.

Cherish is a grand sentiment indeed,
but *ove was missing in my soliloquy,
and since it makes the wor*d go round,
the machine was useless, my words to expound.

My inability to express my adoration for you,
had me angrily profaning a streak of b*ue.
So, alas! I had to obtain a new computer,
in order to become the proper suitor.

I am now at liberty to verbalize,
how your stunning beauty does mesmerize.
I love you! It's such a musical phrase,
that I shall reiterate for all my days.

My love increases with every hour,
even when my PC loses power,
so print a hard copy of my declaration,
as proof of my undying dedication.

yes, I was just thinking about this today. I cannot write with pen and paper. only with keys because my thoughts go so fast that its difficult for my feelings to be conveyed when they're struggling through the chicken scratch. I liked your take also, not so heavy as the others, gave me something to smile about.
    love,
    jin

    Lovely idea, well expressed.
A good keyboard is a wonderful tool.

The first stanza is cleverly written. I had to chuckle because my keyboard on my PC lost the use of the letter "l" last year and I had to purchase a new keyboard to make any sense to anyone and I could never write of "Love". LOL

Now it would have been quit e the task for you to actually leave the "l" out of each word so, I give you props for the words you did leave the letter out of. I liked this. It is different from all the rest and I don't remember jin saying we had to be serious. The break from the same old way of writing is refreshing. I include myself in that "same old way". LOL Great work!

I wish you well in the challenge.

    Much Love ♥
