The Frozen Moment

The shutter clicked
And time stopped.

Lena put on her cloths
And wandered away
To the rest of her life
Her husband
Her children
Her job, her old age
And one day her death.
Leaving behind this frozen
Evidence of a moment
This compressed pattern
Of light and shadow

That exists year after year
Unchanging for that
Is the nature of immortality.

I like the effective capture of the model and then being able to see her, as you say, get dressed and move on, something the static photo rarely suggests. I also enjoyed your use of language in "compressed pattern" that has to do with how her image was mass distributed far beyond the intention of the original shoot and into a scientific sphere that truly immortalized her, which happened by chance it seems, when some scientists needed a subject and ripped off the upper third from the picture to slap into place. Not exactly your average "picture" of art immortalized as it has always been in limestone busts.

Nicely done I love your introduction as a way to start the clock of her life ticking. But she is immortal now at least for sometimes. Well done.
