Waiting So Long For The Day

Waiting so long for the day
that I can finaly say
that I will be a mother.
I dream of waking up
and hearing a little voice say
Mommy, Mommy, wake up wake up!
To teach them all the things I've always wanted to,
like singing, reading, and self defense too.
I am still waiting so long for the day.
To play with them and raise them right,
and read them a bed time story before I turn out the lights.
To see them blosom, see them grow,
but will dred the day I let them go.
Still waiting, so long, for the day,
to have one of the greatests gifts of all,
a child of my own.

a very pleasant write on all the emotions of wanting to have a child of your very own and how you want to raise them. not just raise them right with morals and all that, but just the simple things in life that make children not just healthy but happy as well. the title fits this piece wonderfully. it's perfect, a match! you express yourself clearly with your emotions of wanting a child and wanting to do simple things with and for the child. usually mothers always worry about the child being healthy, having enough money to raise and take care of the child. it's refreshing to hear of the simple pleasures in life that you want to share with your very own child.

thank you very much for entering my first contest and i wish you luck!
