Captive Souls

To all the Captive Souls that reap
For those, whose souls are kept
Raging In bodies, which are locked in cells
Like tigers in cages
That glisten through like shining
emeralds in the sand
To those who find themselves
Rebelliously facing broken systems
With their backs to the wall
And guns in their hands
Who at times want to be diplomatic but…
Men of few words, do little talking
To all the butterflies with broken wings
Who want to fly but just keep falling
To all the Guerilla Warriors without strategy
To all the brave and Conscious gods who stand among men
Manifest your own destiny
And achieve it through hard work and dedication
And Make sure
Your adversaries meet asphyxiation
For every disgruntled, disenfranchised
Citizen of the world
I urge you to unite and rebel
Find a cause and fight for it
Together you are strong
As Individuals you are weak
Don’t let up and keep your guard raised
One day the Sun will shine
through all the smoke and haze
I’ve seen long empty fields
That stretched endlessly
And somewhere off in the horizon
Lying a barrel of diamonds
I’ve seen seemingly empty, dark roads
That led to cities that shined
Bright and full of life
I’ve seen what seemed
to be patches of emptiness in the nighttime sky
momentarily replaced by clusters of stars
See the good and the evil in every man
See the potential in everyone, though divided
Still striving for the same goals
To all the Captive souls that reap

This is a very thought provoking poem, indeed...United we stand, divided we fall...
