cotton candy clouds blush pale pink
for the birth of dawn's on the brink.
Where eagles once learned to fly
daylight’s filtered through a thick haze,
shadowing Man's industrial phase.
A rising sun still makes me cry,
its brilliance conquering night
in a dazzling display of light.
Such grandeur solicits a sigh,
this daily renewal offers hope
that our resilient planet can cope.
Nature's one thing money can’t buy,
no amount can restore Her dead,
yet few listen to what's being said.
A simple truth without a lie,
oblivious, we create little fuss
as life disappears around us.
