Intermingled with crimson,
snow white petals fall
upon fractured earth.
Forming patterns as random as
the scattered thoughts of
a confused mind.
One by one they drift silently,
until they create a carpet of
broken promises.
Lavender winds brush them aside.
Stepping across the acidic residue,
a hopeful heart reaches out
a nervous hand,
and plucks another daisy.
The cycle begins anew.
