i'm leading a life that's not my own.
i look to the sky,
searching for some meaning
in the clouds
but the wind blows the answers away.
each day is the same,
but then there's you.
you don't even know
that all i want to do is love you.
and i can't because
you find someone else to love
each time.
somehow i'll make it through the day
but tonight when i'm alone
i'll cry the tears that i couldn't let you see.
i'll learn the parts
and play the characters until i fade
and with my last breath,
i'll deny
that i ever thought i loved the person
who has been there for me
since the beginning
of this adventure.
so then comes you
smiling like you don't know
but i think you do.
