Dangerously Beautiful

I have kissed rose petals in the morning

still covered in their dew

Rescued one winged birds from four legged predators

knowing they would still die

I have walked the tops of mountains

most too scared to imagine

Swam across rivers in valleys

too low for them to stoop

Flown on dreams with wings

just to crash when lightning struck

Scraped rainbows from the sky

to find there is no pot of gold

I have praised my God

in the highest of heavens

Danced with Satan while holding between my lips

the black rose of death

But never have I encountered such

equal parts of beauty and danger

until I crossed the path

beneath your feet

Dance me across your beauty

and into your wicked danger

Fill me with pleasure

Just remind me I'm still here

    Delicate.

This is a delicate composition. A rare phrasing that flows beautifully to the tone of truth. The last stanza was perfectly penned. I also adored the fourth stanza. I like how you showed that prompts can mean different things to different people. This write gave me a new insight on it. O.O;;!
*By the way, you had a typo on Rainbows* - Stanza 3, Line 3. You did a good job though. Nice write. Thank you for entering, and good luck in the contest. Keep Writing.
