Shelf

Sitting high on the wall, memories
stored from overuse,
saving for that day, when reflection needs to
shine. Easing the grey of
stormy skies, those hand crafted coffee cups
swirled with painted purpose, bring back
sweet tastes of gifts re-gifted before the giver is gone.

Author notes

Another form attempt: A Pleiades poem
single word title, each line starts with same letter, 7 lines, some folk restrict it to 6 syllable count per line

just playing with words, thoughts, and a mental stretch

I've not heard of this one. I probably would have noticed the S beginnings and thought it done with purpose. The poem shows the memory shelf, actual and what is shelved in our heads. What is nice abut this poem is, it does't act like it is a form. Very nice poem, MizzC.
