Such a beautiful, beautiful day
Blue sky glows up there
Leaves falling down, down, around
The water shining like silver polish
Who to share it with?
Not he, not he
Who is long gone from here
Not he whose blue eyes are
Almost as deep as the water
He whose love is gone
To some other beautiful place
Some little fish makes a splash
There's life in that water
A crazy squirrel running around
And a rabbit walks up those stairs
To the porch
I can share this beauty with she
Who claims minuscule parts of
A green, growing forest
With dainty steps
I don't need these things
This beautiful boy
Who I never had before
I'm not alone.
