Lies separate honesty from dishonesty. A write up that is laced with covering lies does not make for a rousing read. I recently came across a work in prose poetry that fitted the billing of a honest write-free of lies and full of true statements. This was my view on it.Honesty is something that appears to be more relative than absolute. An absolute honesty would be stated right up the wall with nowhere else to go and no room whatsoever for any movement and retracing from what was stated. Diplomacy is a form of relative honesty and relative dishonesty-and most statements that we come across -in these days-on personal experiences and narrations are stated in diplomatic style and formatting. More is covered and only harmless and even potentially harmless is at best revealed. I have read quite a few in the nature of personal surveys and questionnaires and some personal real essays and experience tales. Almost ninety percent fitted the above descriptions of guarded narrations. the ten percent that did not were categorized as bare and exclusive possessing the beauty of absolute honesty-as the reader enjoyed the writer's courage in making the ink work that way. This prose poetry write up is about ninety eight percent honest and deserves the top billing in the category of an honest write. Now this honesty reveals an immense amount of pain-Tory your personal experiences rend me so much-that I took a full day after reading this-to be able to muster strength to comment on it. While I was aware of the intense and complex world of discord, mismatch and disharmony in human relations;I saw ,for the first time, ever a victim with so much grievous scarring. It made me immensely sad. That humans can be so utterly cruel to others-in quest for money and material and perhaps ulterior objectives made my head hang in despair.I am so touched and so drawn to you that I want to hug you and hold you in comfort so as to help you recover the wounds that are so deep. While flesh is hurt psyche and soul is not left unscathed. Flesh can heal but psyche and souls do not till they are freed. An honest write deserving all kudos!

Very nice
First of all, congrates on the green. I will write down again my previous message that I already rold to our fellow poet "awannabeapoet" relating sincereness and truth when writing: a poet is like a good cook, you may have ingredients and a good recipe, but if you don't cook with all your heart the food you will prepare will be tastless; similar is a poem, if a poet choose to write it artificially, he/she won't succeed, but if he/she writes down when sincerely he/she lives the situation, the words will be emotions and verses aching or joyful feelings,he/she may touch deeply heart of others, especially if those who read or listen know how to value a word and how to make their hearts dance to the rhythm of his/her sensation.
I enjoyed reading your essay, thanks for sharing

I have to say that I am honest in everything that I write. I know that some people write without truth, but I would never do that. I recently read a piece that I thought was real, then when I asked about it, it turned out to be totally bogus. Needless to say I was pretty upset. I like to read honesty. This is a wonderful write, you did an amazing job. Thank you so much for entering my contest.

I can relate to wondering about the truth (or false) within the works of other authors on here. The fact that there are many, many pieces on this site which could be-no, ARE-true stuns me. It gives them all the more power. Even those that are a blend of truth and lies-one can't help but be fascinated and still impressed at the ambiguity. Either way...writing is still, to me, the most effective means of cahartic coping, whether it is all factual or not. Let's just hope that no one ever attempts to claim truth in their own "written lies".
This is excellent.

possibly break this up into stanza's this one big paragraph makes each of those stunning lines clump together and come oout just bland.
breaking it up will have each stunning witty line stand out and makes this peice show its brilliance in which is already has.

WOW! Wonderful write. I too have thought about the truthfullness in some of the surveys as well as other pieces I've read. If all are from true life experiences we must surely be kinder to each other for that may be the one universally accepted trait all writers share. Things we can't tell anyone but can write about for the reader doesn't know what is truth and what is not. I know I write from life's experiences and I have lived a very eventful life so I can draw from most aspects that are written about here. Good read my friend.
