Music Composition notes:
07 is still a thin outline, not quite 'done'
08- small fixes, more predictable and 'relate-able' with existent music so as to be less of a challenge for the listener, but it might always remain a challenging piece, after all, this is the world of leptons
11- extended end, small fixes and embellishments throughout
12- reverb adjustments
14- extended end even more, tweaks and embellishments, reverb/mixer readjustments
23- extended parts, worked on parts, panning, levels
50- added part 2
52- unadded part 2, created overlapping 'dark' and 'light' versions

Diagram of the Standard Model of the Particle Universe

"leptons are small, smaller than quarks..."-some astrophysicist staring into space

There are two families of fundamental particles – quarks and leptons. They've replaced the Hatfields and McCoys, which annihilated one other with their own versions of the big bang.

There are six types of quarks and six sorts of leptons. Together they make up a theory called the Standard Model. A model is OK if it can predict things.

Most matter on earth is made from a combination of two quarks, the UP and DOWN quarks, and an odd little lepton you may know already- the ELECTRON.

The up and down quarks form protons and neutrons inside the nucleus of the atom, and the electron-leptons orbit the nucleus to complete the whole atom, so the model goes.

The rest of the twelve fundamental particles are more commonly found in high energy environments, for example in particle accelerator collisions, or right at the start of the universe just after the Big Bang, so don't expect them to show up at your next birthday party unless you hire a very high-energy band to kick out the jams... such as the Lepton Wave Ensemble, which will entice the remaining particles to attend your party, if only a brief, catastrophic moment.

Lepton in Space

There once was an odd Lepton with orbital grace
who spent its young days entertaining the human race
it twirled and it spun
and it danced and had fun
then shot off toward a region of galactic interstellar space dust way out near the Magellanic Clouds
and left only a shadowy trace of itself
in a hydrogen bubble chamber.

so i'm not big into math or physics so much of this is way beyond my understanding.. but i have to give you props for putting so much work into this and creating such a unique piece. I can tell you tapped into everyones inner nerd with this one. haha. great job. thanks for sharing!!

Awww ... after my own heart, you are. I used to think I was the only Phyics dork on AP, but then I met Ink Shadow and NoIQ. Now it seems I've managed to miss another. You're the first one so far who's into particles. Never have been able to figure out why science doesn't inspire more art. For me they feel almost exactly the same.

thanks, Physics seems to be an untapped area in poetry... my fav was a 'poem' I sent to Astronomy Magazine challenging the current model of the universe (being so wobbly and full of contradictions)- I never heard from them... lol

okay, all I can say after listening to it, is I need to listen to it again. That was groovy, a little Christmasy-a little jazzy, with some great drums going on in the back. I am impressed, but admit it'll take longer than this to listen and comment on all you've listed.

yes... thanks... I'm going to try for that... (turn this into a Lepton Christmas piece...) and I'll know who to dedicate it to... (and who says your muse was on vacation?)

I do have a 'radio version' of this- it is short, intending to tease the listener to "Play it again, play it again!" (that famous kid's request that adults find so bothersome lol) which should propel it to #1 on the charts...

Christmasy? fascinating... everyone wants to produce a Christmas album...

thanks, (now I'll have to google 'WSM'- to see how badly I need to improve this piece... ) hmmm... getting mixed results... there is the "Worker's Solidarity Movement"... no, couldn't be that, unless you're pushing a political party... WSM Bikini Modeling Agency... (if you're pushing that, I like it lol)... 'WSM', an AM radio station in Nashville... no... William Sonoma, Inc.... no... WSM Performance Parts for motocross bikes (I like that one, too)... ahhhh... I seeeee it... "World's Strongest Man" Well, I'll have to take that as a compliment...!

yes, I confess, I was taking (and offering) a break from the same old droning fare (as I often do)... but I don't have anything to apologize for, after all, this category tag does say 'Music, Leptons, Fun'...!

Maybe I should have added, "and now for a short respite from poetry, from a poet, for poets" (or more correctly, from a dabbler)

and an interesting point you mentioned- a reader looks for whatever tends to the reader's 'needs'- and the 'needs' depend on what the reader is aspiring toward (on this site that is usually becoming a better poet)... now we have to define 'better' and 'poetry', and that's where the differences arise...

    A featured poem . . .

Now I'm all for finding the quirks in the universe and exploiting slim probabilities to get the desired effect. One day, we will entangle, teleport, and create new things from "nothing". This poem though, I found it lacking in poetry. Maybe it's your strange charms, but I felt no response in either direction. There was a small bang when my keys started at the keyboard, but it grows fainter and fainter. I suppose my babbling will fade to the background, but I may as well leave something echoing there; maybe it will whisper poetry in your ear. I did have a hope that there would be some new poetry emerging from the edges of understanding, possibly stretching the vocabulary of this site. Subatomic disappointment . . . it's a good thing I'm not emo, I could bring whining to a whole new level.

Interesting comment, and yes, I was taking (and offering, hence the feature- for simply enjoyment purposes) a break from poetry with this piece (one gets a little antsy after 1500 some odd posts)- this is primarily a musical presentation, but I have nothing to apologize for- the category tag does read 'Music, Leptons, Fun'...! )

I would, however, argue that I did present something from the edge of understanding (as many lamenting comments below and above have attested, this being particle physics! ) and that I stretched the vocabulary of this site (I would beg the word 'lepton' alone...! ) (and I do love stretching this site)(and challenging reader's notions, come to think of it) but I think I know where you are coming from- those ornate or flowery or chic or edgy subcategories of a language ('dictions') which do the language as a whole a disservice, and that tend toward pretentiousness... (and for which I've purchased a stomach pump, I'll let you borrow it when you tire of such fare! )

Your response does bring to mind a very interesting phenomenon- what a reader 'brings' to a piece- and if you just came from the land of 'whispering poetry' (which you indirectly mentioned)(and which I have many issues with, by the way- see my columns) then that explains your disappointment... (again the stomach pump is available- either for the whispering poetry or my columns... lol )

but a warning concerning pretty, flowery, ornate, chic, edgy, and even metaphysical poetry in general- I've found that most such readers/writers are merely trying to achieve a dopamine release- which is nothing more than being a heroin addict...

and I've gotten along with emo's (as long as they weren't being obnoxious little pretenders! )... so not to worry there lol thanks for the fav...

Now if anyone had told me you were a rocket scientist I would have laughed my ass off but if they had said Nuclear Physicist well that's a different set of Molecules. The Music was an symphonic experience just need to watch your timing. Certainly a triple ripple of stuff I feel so knowledgeable I could slit an atom or two but we have to consider the fallout (wind direction an all )

actually elicited a laugh from me, which is hard to do when I'm in pain. The rest is way over my head, as I'm not the least bit proficient at science or math.

the 'enjoy' word has been undervalued lately I think... and come on, no expert on video games? Why, I'll be you have the latest Beatles game where you get points for playing/singing along correctly...! (and you get a shock if you mess-up)...

And I don't play video games since PacMan went out. I play video poker at the casino or card games on line. I wouldn't mess up on a Beatles Song. But that's from back in the day too. See? I'm just an old woman that is out of touch with the new generation.

Wow, what an amazing groove. Definately has the intensity and listenability to be the background in a video game. Deifnately "boss" music. The organ gives it a sense of castles and dark creatures.
