Contraband and controversy
lived my life without mercy
you showed me love you showed me passion
you criticised said I was ashen
then held my hand and like no other
became my friend not just a lover
for lovers come and lovers go
broken hearts are all we know
then friends we need
and friends indeed
come to the fore
mending hearts ever more
