Emptiness

I sit here,
Paper and pen in hand,
Clueless to what may be expressed,
Though I consider the life I live,
I realize that no one truly cares about that,
So I write,
No beginning,
No goal,
Just words,
Words that mean nothing at all,
Emptiness that seems to be able to consume us all,
Now tell me,
Do you care?
No...
I didn't think so.

Author notes

old poem i wrote so show my at the time girlfriend that even when you have a writers block you can still force something if you try and want to bad enough.

oh yes, i agree with your AN comments, i myself dont believe in writer block, if you are stuck on what to write then you are consciously thinking about a subject to write, the key is not to think when writing a first draft the thinking comes in after when you re-read and correct,

the first draft needs to be feelings and emotions, then comes the structure building and this poem as with a couple of mine,

paper and What’s at my seam

show that, there is no need to have a real factual ground to write poetry or any other form of writing.

good write, and by the way i care! lol
