My heart used to be cold and black
Hard, stiff, and lifeless
But then you came and brought it back
The joy you bring is priceless
How I met you I don't know
A person like you is rare
You saved me from despair and woe
So charming, keen, and fair
Sometimes, I think "She must be blind!
She fails to see her beauty"
In the end it's just her mind
For self hate is her duty
She's said it oh so many times
But I know that she's wrong
'Cause when she speaks, the church bell chimes
And the angels sing their song
Her mind is simply the darkest one
That you would ever meet
Filled with fear to block the sun
But her heart is elite
Why must such a lovely dove
Suffer so grievously?
She fills my head with bliss and love
Her presence is pure ecstasy
When I look upon her
My whole world melts away
To pain and anguish, she's my cure
A lovely, scented bouquet
Words cannot describe you
You're as sweet as can be
You've made my heart and soul anew
I love you, Emily
