How could they really understand
rich upper classed politicians.
A country of supply and demand
with a so called willing coalition.
focus on other peoples land
And sharecropping has become tradition.
Social mobility in my community is banned
should greed be the human condition.
While we hold ourselves down and disband
must niggers be ignorant by definition.
Not realizing it was all planned
trick us into fighting each other.
Disguise the true assassin
pay us in rice til we smother.
Play the lotto and hope to cash in
rather than help one another.
We rob steal and bash in
the face of our brother.
Instead of love makin with passion
we fuck her, and create a single mother.
Forced to raise a child off spite
the cycle is unintentionally sustained.
A boy must become a man overnight
because around every corner is pain.
Suffering, addicts, black and white
its enough to drive any child insane.
However; remember, wisdom is might too
thats how you rise up and invade their domain.
Drive them out to openly fight you
so the world can see why we complain.
Otherwise all they'll do is slight you
and use you to entertain.
With role models like lil wayne
can you really place blame.
He's just bringin the same
lame ass lyrics, robbin n killin our spirt.
To them its a game
they get rich when u hear it.
Things They Say; made to shape our mindframe
but the wise all fear it.

This is powerful! You bring up some very valid points here. I especially liked the lines,
"With role models like lil wayne
can you really place blame"
So true!

Theres so much emotion and painfulness (i think i just made that word up lol) behind every word... i love it!
Thanks so much for entering and best of luck in the contest x -
passionit!!!!!
poeticly justifiable. I love all the truth and hurt behind each line. It speaks out to the world and puts all our pettie differences aside. keep speaking true from the heart. KillerRain

wow I really liked the way this sounded so lyrical, like a rap. Your message is so true though..'instead of love makin with passion, we fuck her, and leave a single mother' this was so raw and I love the way you tackle society head on. certainly made me think. I like your use of a rhetorical question at the start it really invites us to question these things ourselves. Good thread, kept me engaged throughout, thank-you for entering my contest and good luck
