to look at the stars
to really know them
you must look
long
you cannot casually
look up to the sky and say
“I have seen Orion
Cassiopeia or Polaris”
because you have not
to perceive the stars
you wish to see
you must look beyond
the unrivaled beauty
the color and luminosity
to the small silences
between the pulsations of light
between chaos and grace
you must take time
and breathe in deeply
the primordial peace
from which they rose
then close your eyes
gently let it go
and your eyes will
remember
how to see
Please tell me what you think

Brilliant .. is all i can say for each word you spoke is so profound with mean but the end rocked this piece hun for it summed up all the words to remember how to see...well penned always Hugs Angel♥

Exactly!
There is such a diffenence between merely looking and actually seeing. Looking is a superficial and physical act; seeing touches the soul. You have expressed this concept beautifully in this fascinating piece of work.

EVER SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!
To truly see one must use eyes, ears , heart and soul.
As all come together is the moment when one sees truly.

I like this. I thought the use of "between chaos and grace" was unusual, as most people would have said order instead of grace. I like that particularly because it denotes a higher power, at hand. This is really lovely. I love gazing at the night sky and looking for constellations! I'm taking your advice to heart, the next time I am out stargazing.

Im lost in the multilayers of truth here. Great job. Simple and deep.
