the bathtub

I cannot see the moon tonight. My thoughts as dark as the sky.
The rain comes down to flood the streets,
And now my mind.
I lay in my bath of sweat, it drips from my pores.
The wind howles eckos off the walls.
I can taste my pain as the water pulls it from my body.
I drown, I wake to the bubbles gone, the water cold.
Just a dream, and I pain again but I am breathing.

On days without a silver Moon
A bath is still the place to sleep
    I'll contemplate from afternoon
The pleasured that are hot and deep

Your dreams was dark where I feel hope
But in a bath minds drift away
I know you'll find a way to cope
With all the pain of everyday

Thoughtful poetry, but I fall asleep in the bath most days and it doesn't do me any harm

Reminds me of When January cried.
And sounds as though all that you need, is love to dry you with a big fluffy towel.
