Dragonfly

I put the wings in place,
Mold clay around to hold it there,
Extend on the face,
Give it a body,
A dragonfly,
Not yet complete,
I add on some legs,
And dive into carving,
Taking care to make lines solid,
Full,
Putting detail into the wings,
swirls across the back,
Eyes with mystery,
A face that shows no story,
Then piece by piece,
Dragonfly falls apart,
I try to re attach the wings,
the legs,
the half body falling off,
and it just keeps breaking,
no matter how hard I tried,
I throw it on the table,
Grab each piece and break it,
making sure I can't put it back together,
it's funny when you finally realize,
how things represent you,
others,
relationships,
It's funny how it can make you feel so much,
just clay,
I may have broken the dragon fly that was meant for you,
I never finished your birthday present,
But somethings aren't meant to be completed,
Somethings just can't continue,
When I'm trying to move on,
And thinking about those only sends me to tears,
I'm not sure why you don't want to be with me,
it's all a blur,
like paint,
mixing and blending together,
to an ugly shade of brown,
I do not wish to stare upon,
to go into detail and figure out what went wrong,
So I'll grab a new piece of clay,
and this time when I start molding,
I'm not shaping my life for you,
I'm shaping my life without you Jade Frog.

Please tell me what you think
