Flowered Farwell

She stared at the daisy,
daring it to speak.
Opening her mind,
she heard the flower squeak.

Closing her eyes,
she listened again
a chorus of voices
soon joined in.

Lillys sang tenor,
daffodils bass,
all of the notes,
falling into place.

Soon the garden
became a symphony
conductor jumped in,
in the form of a bee.

Listening intently
til dusk masked the sky,
one last breath...
such a sweet way to die...
