They all seem to have their cultures
diving into them while I stand on the outside
even my own heritage I wish I was a part of
but know very little about
because the older generation
forgot that us younger generation
that we are now grown.
Not able to dance a beat
with no one will go dancing with me
How I miss the greek dancing festbles
the greek music oh the beautiful music
all the dark haired caucasions
like myself dancing merryily
the "opa" shouts
the Greek olives
and feta cheese
lamb made all day
on an open fire outside.
The stories of those that visited Greece
I feel it is a missing part of my soul
I stare at them
crave for that part of me
the very Greek part of my soul.
