Tiny Wings

Tiny thought on wings of splendor,
messages delivered by heavenly sender.
In beauty of the angels sings,
love from God on butterfly wings.

When life seems more ebb than flow
and all I do is go go go.....
I take a moment to look around
in nature where life's joy abounds,

And when I feel I'm at my worst,
and God has put me last not first,
and all I want to do is cry.
God sends to me a butterfly.

Stained glass wings floating near,
remind me that I need not fear.
For while I face trials on this earth,
the time will come for life's rebirth.

Love from God on butterfly's wings, indeed. This is quite lovely, whyspr! Isn't life all about the ebb and flow? What a great metaphor this is! Sometimes we flow; sometimes we anticipate the flow...but in the end, that's what we do...wait! Will we truly be there for life's rebirth??? Dear God, I hope so!

I agree; this is beautiful. A good poem for me to remember when I feel down. I like it all but especially the title and the opening two lines.

Butterflies are sacred messengers, bearing wise words from those who have gone before us. This is a lovely and serene piece. Good luck in the contest, Poet.
