kindness? love?
always good to have
but don't forget joy.
I was in the art supply store
and I saw some modelling clay
and thought, wonderful
for my great nephews
for Christmas.
I must email my sister, their grandma,
and see if they do crafts.
I know one of them dresses up
as a pirate, and how about bubbles,
you know the round thing
you blow the bubbles through.
I must email my sister.
Does her daughter still do art?
At least once, I gave her origami paper.
In the art store, I saw some beautiful papers
for her inventiveness.
I miss those times, the little Christmas parties
I gave for that niece and her brother,
who is the father of those boys.
I feel sad that they are so long gone,
those parties with the treats and presents.
But I'll bundle up some suitable things now.
I am the aunt and joy is my name.
I don't presume towards kindness and respect
but I hope they will come. They aren't my job.
Joy is what I enjoyed. I'm just a big kid,
no kids of my own.

I understand with all my heart
Being a woman made where she couldnt ever have children because of a drunk driver no one knows better than we do of how sad christmas is without having children around . There just isnt any sparkle to it at all without their excitment to dress it each year . I so myself loves to get the gifts for christmas that brings their muse into new highths .Very good write here

I am so sorry to hear that. Thanks for your comment.

It brought into focus the relation of a comfortable past and an uncertain future in a way that touches us all, only to put the new present without them into stark contrast. It does not reassure that if we live long enough it happens to us all.
Way to go!
