Translucent Memories

 

 

I found myself standing at the foot of your bed,

imagining you still asleep as tears filled my eyes.

 

It seemed as if everything I tried to forget,

was now so clear and present in my mind.

 

I fell to my knees as the memories flowed,

each one drowning my heart with sadness.

 

Sigh, I miss you so much that my soul cries.

I carry your memory with me everywhere I go.

  

I can only hope that I've made you proud,
