The government likes to keep us confused,
Many tricks they have thought of and used.
Daylight savings time not one of the best,
Deeply cuts into our much needed rest.
But, then again, what can we say,
Many states join in and play.
Arizona chose to leave it alone,
The gist of it, they could not atone.
The number of hours will still remain,
Not one extra moment will you gain.
Darkness will come, morning or night.
Let's live each moment in Gods delight.

I like your perspective. We need more people to get up close and personal. But the ones left who have the most to lose are working and the moochers have the time. Not fair! It is time for the states to stand up for state's rights too. But too many don't want to be weened from the government sow.

this was cute...loved the rhyme...I love the extra hour of sleep in the fall, but hate to lose it again in the spring...yet love the fact that it stays light much longer...I hate the long dark nights of fall and winter!!!! Very nice write!!! Thanks for shairng!!!~~~Toni!~~~~

I can relate to this here in Western Australia...we had a referendum some years back and voted 'no'. We had Another referendum and voted NO, then the government brought in a 3 yr trial regardless. We've had ANOTHER referendum at great cost, and voted no again.
I'm so glad to have the fresh early mornings back! Don't think I'll enter this contest, I'd swear Too much!!!
