Well "fast" food does not make ME fat,
Each Lent I shed a good half-stone.
Seven weeks of "veg" - I tell you flat:
My "fast" food does not make me fat.
No meat, no eggs, no dairy - that
Is what my Church rules - and I've shown

It all depends what one means by "Fast"...
NB For US readers - a stone is 14 pounds.
For the metrically minded - there are about 2.2 pounds to the kilo... so half a stone is three-and-a-bit kilos.

A well-crafted short piece. The metre was without fault, and the repetition effective. I enjoyed the wit in this poem, and the masterful use of punctuation made for an easy, immediate reading scheme. This one raised a smile!
