A star crashes down
And what you do is make a wish
You scour the heaven for falling stars
Hoping to get your heart's desires
Have you no sympathy for a dying star?

Such a different take on the prompt and I like to see people do that. Your last line was very creative:
Have you no sympathy for a dying star?
I would not have thought of that view point but glad you did. It adds interest to poems. Most people rejoice over them but not many would think of its sadness. Thank you for entering in my contest and good luck in it too. have a great night.

wow, I can assume your wishes haven't come true. I find this hard to believe. a sad write to think that we can hope to find a wishing star in all its mirth and merits.

I like that, it was creative - it offered a different viewpoint; perhaps a hidden apathy in the exploitation of others, or in this case the death of a star.

This was short but deep. i love the last line.
