I am the Rain
The precious lifeblood
And the never-ending bane
To the encompassing hatreds
That threaten to burn us away
So stay
And we’ll sit
And we’ll let the rain play
Like we need a healing addiction
So breathe deep and breathe long
‘Cause the rain has claimed you
And your pain
You are of Ice
That chill in the air
Such a beautiful feel
Because the cold has never lied
Never burned and never cried
So let’s walk awhile
And watch the world
From a veil of white
While the snow falls,
As the frost steals the heat
Of their hatreds tonight
And across the sky
In the dead of night
Shall the two fly
One of white, pure as snow
And one of azure, deep as the sky
Because the two are quite the same
Past the blood, past the pain
And they sing to the soul
How they brush away the lies
That litter the floor
In the darkest of nights
And the two shall depart
The rain and the ice
And never shall we see their like
Mourn, for the nights shall be warm
And the days will burn
And you will cry for the Ice
And you will beg for the Rain
Author notes
An alien notion arose and I felt the need to write something that seemed to make no sense. Maybe someone else will find something that I have missed, eh?
I thought I caught the ice, but all I caught has melted away...

Pretty snazzy. It did make sense. The idea you reached for was portrayed well and the imagery was magnificent. The constant refferals to ice, burning and rain are quiet interesting and heighten the readers interest in the poem. The imagery works well. A very enjoyable read.
We should catch up again some time? It's been quiet a while. -
Wow... If this is what an Alien notion brings, then I say you need to feel them more often.
This had a very different feeling to your normal writing, although with the familarity of your normal writing pattern.
I adored it.
Have a great winter, and keep up the good work

Wow, very interesting.
This is a very interesting and very strong piece of poetic genius. I could only strive to write something as well put together and the flow is simply amazing. I really enjoyed the third stanza and the final two lines. They show much emotion towards the rain and ice and I, to put it in simple terms, love the chill of ice and the pure feeling of the rain. This is a considerable piece that I will use as inspiration to try and write something to support the feeling and love of the ice element. I will print off this wonderous write and keep it in my binder of inspiration so that I will read it everyday and strive to write something similar. Very excellent write.
