Redemption

From dust to life and back again
One word truth remains unshaken
And repeat cycles, another.
To redeem all the forsaken.

Another chance, for your mother
Done to those whom death has taken.
For mercy and love and chances
To redeem all the forsaken.

Untold lore for second glances
When they look back, chance awakens.
Stand! Redemption! Sin abandoned!
To redeem all the forsaken.

Author notes

I chose this refrain line out of inspiration from the example poem and because it not only fits with the poem, but it also ties each stanza together.
(for my AP class)

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
