Lifeblood

Is it considered cliche
to say that someone

is a piece of your heart?

I've sought deep within,
and found that my Love
is not merely a piece ~

but that she is in every part!

Not a moment,
not a heartbeat passes
where she is not

the lifeblood of my soul ~

her love courses through
every fiber of my very being;

her essence,
forever united with mine.

Dare be it be so,
for neither she, nor her love

are "cliche" ~

for she is the reason
I've become the man I am.
